Maidstone Homeless Care is seeking a part time qualified Mental Health Social Worker to support our homeless and vulnerable community in our 10 bed Supported Accommodation and in our Day Centre in Knightrider Street, Maidstone, which has been established in the community for over 30 years and plays an important role in supporting homeless people.

Your duties will include an initial assessment and provision of support to vulnerable and homeless people wishing to regain their independence. Other duties will include 1:1 and group work delivery to achieve this. Rough sleeping is a traumatic experience in itself, many of our client group also have a history of substance misuse, Mental Health conditions and poverty, so experience of working with this client group would be beneficial.

The contracted hours will be 12 hours per week, the working pattern will be negotiable and the salary is £30K per year pro rata.
